New EVs Coming to the UK in Late 2022 to Early 2023

Electric vehicle manufacturers are fast-forwarding into an exciting future with lots of new innovative electric car models, arriving in the UK towards the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023.

Following the government’s pledge to replace petrol and diesel vehicles with pure EVs, battery electric vehicles have become increasingly popular. Over the next few years, you’re likely to see a growing list of highly developed models from some of your favourite car manufacturers, with higher ranges, larger batteries, and greater sustainability.

Let’s take a look at some of the most notable models coming soon…

Audi E-tron Q6

The Audi E-tron Q6 is Audi’s latest all-electric SUV.

The E-tron will feature: the latest technology including a radar sensor, and driver assistance, with a design similar to the Q4 model, and will also include rapid charging capabilities. 

With a 100kWh battery size, the E-tron comes with an estimated range of up to 400 miles – on a single charge, and is expected to go on sale in the UK towards the end of 2022.

BMW i7

The BMW i7 is the latest series in BMW’s electric models.

Features of the i7 include: crystal headlights with Swarovski elements, an iconic glowing grille, a luxurious interior design, up to 80% rapid charge in 34 minutes, as well as an optional sunroof, and rear theatre screen.   

The i7 includes a 105.6kWh battery size, the i7 comes with a range up to 387 miles, and is set to go on sale in the UK around November 2022. 

BYD Atto 3 SUV

BYD’s Atto 3 SUV will be the first electric passenger vehicle to arrive from Build Your Dreams in the UK.

The Atto 3 SUV will come with: an 8 in 1 electric powertrain, an energy saving heat pump, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, as well as the latest technology such as Apple Play, and safety features. 

The Atto 3 will be available with a choice of a 48kWh or a 60kWh battery size, providing a range up to 261 miles on a single charge, and is set to be available in the UK by the end of 2022.

Fisker Ocean

The Fisker Ocean was designed with complete sustainability in mind. 

Features of the Ocean model include: a Solar Sky roof that can generate up to 1500 free miles per year, an ethically sourced vegan interior made from recycled plastic, and a Power Share port to transfer power to a fellow EV owner. 

With a 100kWh battery size, the Ocean comes with a range of around 315 miles, and is expected to be available in the UK in 2023.

Jeep Avenger

The Jeep Avenger will be Jeep’s first all-electric 4 x 4 vehicle. The Avenger model will come with: 380 litres of storage space, 6 different driving modes for every scenario and ground type, an anti-scratch roof, as well as different control settings for hills and terrains, 

With a 54kWh battery size, the Avenger comes with a range of up to 250 miles, on a single charge, and will be available in the UK in 2023.

Lotus Eletre

The Lotus Eletre is an all-electric Hyper SUV. The Eletre will feature: the latest aerodynamics, the world’s first LiDAR system, autonomous driving, rapid charging capabilities in under 20 minutes, a 15.1-inch touchscreen, as well as 2 more screens featuring augmented reality.

With a 100kWh battery size, the Eletre model comes with a range of up to 348 miles, with rapid charging within 18 minutes, and is expected to be available to UK drivers at the start of 2023.

MG 4

The MG 4 is a new all-electric hatchback. Features of the MG4 include: a 10.25-inch colour touchscreen display, iSMART app function control which includes finding your nearest charging point, a pilot mode with the latest driver assistance technology, a spacious interior, and rapid charging in around 35 minutes. 

The MG4 will come complete with a choice of a 51kWh or 64kWh battery capacity, providing a range of up to 281 miles, and is currently open for pre-orders with fulfilments expected to begin in early 2023.
